I’m really excited about this one; this was taken last weekend on the southern Washington coast, more specifically Beards Hollow on Long Beach, WA at sunset. The wave action here was absolutely intense, the waves would hit the cliffs, slosh backward and collide with the incoming wave sets which catapulted the water at least 15 feet into the air. It was pretty never racking standing on small rock island in the middle of the ocean trying to put this one together in the fading sunlight while watching my back, certain that a rogue wave was going to take me out. The good news is that it didn’t happen, but man it was a rush! I’ve got some pretty insane stories from this place from when I was younger including my mom running from bears while my dad and I stood there just checking them out… lots of great memories (sorry mom :P). In any case thanks for having a look!
