The Moeraki Boulders in recent years have become one of the most recognised and photographed coastal locations in the world. Each year I try to do something different to portray them. In 2013, I was thinking in terms of bigger brushstrokes than just finding a new perspective or composition. I wanted to develop a whole different look to what we’re used to seeing from the Moeraki Boulders. The BW conversion is in the heavy brooding style popular among French landscape photographers.
