I shot this on new-years-day…my wife was working the late shift and i was so restless i could explode… I knew there was some really good action going on in the sky and the moment she came through the door..i was out! I went to a small river i know quite well and positioned myself in (!) a small pool right under a waterfall. I was trying different angles when a stunning corona appeared right above the waterfall. I tilted and shot…BOOM!

The Aurora Borealis over the famous Giants Causeway on the North Antrim coast. The light is caused by charged atomic particles from the sun colliding with the earth’s atmosphere. This was captured around midnight on Febuary 2014.
