Old Bagan (Pagan) – is a huge archeological zone on the territory of Myamar. It counts thousands of buddhist temples and pagoda. The most of them were built during the 11th-13th centuries at the time Bagan was the capital of the ancient prosperous dynastic kingdom. The ruins of Bagan are located in an area of ​​40 km along the east bank of the mighty Irrawaddy river. You might need a couple of days to see all of these landmarks by feet, so there are very popular the air excursions. On sunrise you may see dozen of air balloons which are slowly and soundlessly floating over the cradle of myanmar history and culture.

Bagan is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Burma (Myanmar). From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom’s height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.
