Went up to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest with some other photographers this weekend. Had a great time. Especially as it was my first time there combined with my first time shooting the Milky Way.
This is just one single exposure with some subtle light painting. Hope everyone likes it.

New on 500px : I’ll Be Here When You’re Gone by Pcoskun by Pcoskun

A solitary bristlecone pine tree sits atop the white mountains of California as the last rays of light cast onto the landscape. It was quite surreal to be standing up here, all alone sitting beneath the tree just waiting for the light. It was almost as if we were having a conversation the entire time, telling me old tales of the surrounding ancient trees. At one point, realization set in, and I had to remember that I will be long gone before this tree ever comes down. Truly a breathtaking experience (literally and figuratively)!
