The notorious Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe Nevada is bathed in the light of a colorful sunset. The dark silhouette of the giant boulders is a sharp contrast the colorful sky and water. Vermilion is a color that ranges from a vivid red to reddish orange and I thought it was an apt description for this photo. Although this area has been photographed many times, the light and conditions are always different. I hope you like this version. Thanks for looking!

Best seen on black. View over the Sunndalsfjord, seen from Vettamyra in Sunndal. 10 minutes prior to this shot a snow shower passed by. As you can see in the picture a new one is on its way, illuminated with pinkish sunlight over the fjord. The image consist of three bracketed shots blended manually in PS.
