“Barn VIII” Milky Way stars shine bright over this barn near Canova, South Dakota. This is a SINGLE exposure shot, the light on the grass and barn are actually from my cell phone for a few seconds during the exposure. This area is far far away from big city lights and perfect for astrophotography. This night also had plenty of green airglow as well. I know my last post was a church too but when I went out shooting last night I found myself in this area and said why not. This spot near Canova, South Dakota is a little over an hour drive from my home in Sioux Falls’s light pollution. So the stars are much better here than my last post but I couldn’t push the camera as far as I wanted because of the lights behind this church. I also started a time-lapse of this right after this shot was taken same position I just lowered the iso some for the time-lapse. Managed to get 200+ frames and only one vehicle went by the entire time. This 200+ frame sequence and another 200+ frames from the last meteor shower at a favorite old barn will be in my next video so watch for that coming soon to my facebook page 😉
