La Côte de Granit Rose – The Pink Granite Coast, so-called because of the colour of its rocks, is one of the most beautiful stretches of Brittany’s coastline. The inclement weather impeded my ability to shoot, so I missed my chance to capture a gorgeous sunrise. By the time the rain passed, the orange glow behind the distant islands had already disappeared, but in its place were dark clouds and a soft subtle light that filled the sky.
Today, as I look forward to my next trip to Washington, I can’t help but wonder… Will I be just as excited this time? Like the broken posts remaining from the pier that once stood there, I know there are parts of my life that are gone, and so many things have changed. Was this just a fleeting moment in time that only exists now through the memories I have in this image, or will I find that same feeling and fall in love with Washington all over again?
Thanks for looking.

The Singing Sands, ( or Camus Sgiotaig in the Gaelic ) Isle of Eigg, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. The Isle of Eigg belongs to a group of Islands called the Small Isles quite close to the Isle of Skye. The view is towards one of them, the Isle of Rum. A lovely Sunset, and I had the beach to myself…not counting my loyal Collie Dog Lucy that is !!
