Here is a new photo from the La Jolla Coves, one of my all time favorite seascape locations. I was about knee deep in water when this was taken and a few waves came in and almost took my camera out. By the end of the shot I was waist deep in water, my camera is fine and the experience was amazing.

Long story short, it didn’t amount to much but as I was coming back down the curve of this part of the road disappearing round the corner caught my eye and so I spent a while capturing some of the cars coming and going round this bend.
After a while, the skies started to get darker and there was short burst of rain and as it passed the hillside lit up for a few short moments and I made sure I got several frames of it.

Here is a new shot from the La Jolla Coves, one of my absolute favorite places to catch sunset and shoot seascapes. This was a tough lighting situation with the sun being so bright. I wanted this shot to have a very dark and mysterious mood. I hope you all enjoy the photograph!

I have had this composition in my head for quite some time now, sometimes a composition just grabs you “Literally”. This was shot on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. The sun pierced through the trees creating an awesome glow. This is a very different style of image for me and I am really pleased with the outcome. My goal for shooting this specific night was to make something interesting and compelling out of a blue sky, boring, sunset. It was great to just get out and have fun and try new things. It was incredible to watch light rays blast through the trees with fog lingering in the distance. Some scenes are just so photogenic that heavy post-processing isn’t even necessary, all it took was a little bit of contrast and some sharpening to really bring this scene to life. It’s been a pleasure spending time in the Bay Area capturing its beauty, cant wait to show you guys more.
