During the big flood of 2008, several new waterfalls were formed as the power of nature forged a new path for Havasu Creek. This is the first of the new waterfalls called Upper Navajo Falls. Although the Havasupai area isn’t back to its former glory prior to 2008, its nice to see that nature is slowly rebuilding. This shot is a manual blend of 3 different exposures. I used a 10-stop ND filter to smooth out the water and help enhance the reflected glow.

This image was captured from the desert view area of the Grand Canyon south rim. Storms kept coming into the canyon and then in an amazing way the canyon appeared to be stearing them.

Late evening at the bottom of Mooney Falls, Havasupai Reservation. The sheer size (195 ft/59 m), colors and wind generated from this wonder of nature are surreal. This location was very challenging for LE photography, mist and water constantly hitting the lens/filter. But I’m very privileged to be able to reach this stunning work of nature.
