Several hours went past while no other person reached this large beach. Somehow I felt like in past times with the pristine driftwood, the bizarre rock needles and the absence of humans. I soaked in the atmosphere and hope I can bring this feeling into your living room (or wherever you are at the moment).

Today I reached 5000 Fans in Facebook. A view days ago I did a little voting from a selection of my recent USA trip and this photo reached No.1. To say THANK YOU this is my little present to you :-).
Just before noon the sun reached the top of the cliffs and created some heavenly God Rays in the spray of the Waterfall. What here looks like a photomanipulation is absolutely realistic and can be seen with a good timing on a sunny day.

Something to cool your mind. At least for the Germans as temperatures are reaching 30+ °C. I took this photo on a frozen Lake in front of the beautiful snow covered Mount Rainier.
With an altitude of about 4.400m, the volcanoe Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in the Cascade Mountains.

This is a photo from diagonally back left, where you can better see the rising fog I mentioned. It made my return march through the forest a little later really creepy :-). I absolutely love such alpine vegetation. It all looks a bit enchanting and gnarled, like in a fairyland.

One of my main goals on my tour has been the cascade mountains. The old volcanic cones decorate the landscape like pearls and exude an indescribable Aurora. In the nearly four miles ascent up to this view towards Mount Hood I went past Mirror Lake, which you can see in the middle. As so often, I had to descent in the dark, which always cause a very queasy stomach. Nevertheless I´m quite happy how it turned out. The fog in my back would have can also make a spanner in the works.
