Milky Way stars and green “air-glow” shine bright over Immanuel Lutheran Church near Canova, South Dakota. 14 well overlapped shots, two rows of 7, stitched together , other than that there is no editing, just processing the RAW files. This is what it looks like standing here. no dodging and burning no layers just straight up 14 photos stitched together with the auto setting in PSE 11. This one was just west of the Fairview exit. I had just went by the Canton exit and there was the flipped semi and I had to actually cross about a foot deep water on the interstate and than took the first exit off.

Photo taken in last night’s storm June 16th 8:08 pm on 463rd avenue by 290th street gravel. I stopped here for some quick shots because I had a small break in the rain but realized this was a very bad idea when I tried to leave. For a while I thought I was going to have to find the highest ground and wait til morning to try and drive home. It took me over 3 hours to find a way out of this area. Down every turn there was water flooded over the highway and even if I could have made it to the interstate it was closed already because water had even flooded across that as well. On the way here on the interstate I seen a semi flipped over and two cars in the ditch one completely submerged to the roof. Anyways noob lesson for today , do not stop in an area that is flooding to take lightning pics especially if on the way in many spots on the highway were already flooded over because it might keep flooding and leaving debris and washing out every gravel road so you can not get home 😉

Taken autumn this year below the summit of Lindis Pass, New Zealand. I stayed about 2 days in this area – reading in my car or walking a little in the hills. I’ve captured this early in the morning past a rain shower which was necessary to darken the road. Even then to much cars drove over the pass. Whenever I had set up the tripod on the road I had to leave so I swore after the cars soon. 😉 If you ever will visit the summit of the pass I advice not to stay there just 2 minutes or even shorter, as many tourists do. There is a little hole in the fence – you should crawl through and walk up the hill – you will have a much better view, I promise!
