I always wanted to photograph this formation. Agathla Peak is very similar to Shiprock, but a bit less popular. I planned to shoot this on my way through Kayenta toward Colorado. I had it all to myself on a Friday evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better scene and a more satisfying moment as the sun peaked through the cloud layer. Mother nature really came through for me here.
