The last few minutes of setting sun produced a dramatic effect on the cathedral peak viewed through the cathedral pass near John Muir Trail.
The shadow of the high sierras range around the cathedral lake casted a nice shadow on the cathedral peak and leaving the sun rays to hit only a portion of the peak.

I have a ton of new half-finished flower, forest, and coastal images sitting around from the past couple months; yet I find myself longing for my favorite subject: mountains. Thus, here’s an image from last year that I inexplicably overlooked.
