Standing above the Earth – Thats how I felt while shooting this scene. Right next to me, cliffs fall about 1000m in the depth of the foggy ocean, on the other side, the mountains raised another 500m and right in front of me the infinit night sky showed it’s best.

It is quite awesome for a mid-European to take photos in places where the light pollution isn’t that high, this are moments we never get to see here at home because of our big cities.

I will definitely go back to that place one day!

100% BETTER ON BLACK!!!

After a long headache and 2 hours on a twisty road we finally arrived at a beautiful meadow in Mt Laguna. As the sunlight fell we were graced with a beautifully vivid night sky. My friends Dan Douglas, Brian Hawkins and Daniel Tomlinson had a blast sharing stories and setting up multiple axis Timelapse shots. As the 4 hour Timelapses were running I decided to capture this 180 degree panorama.

Since I know you guys love the technical details here they are, this Panorama is 15 vertical images taken with the Canon 6D and Nikon 14-24 F/2.8
EXIF: 20Sec F/2.8 ISO6400

Here is a new photograph from one of my favorite spots in California, Santa Ynez. The rolling hills with giant oak trees makes for some awesome foreground with the Milky Way. The bright spots on the horizon is not the sun setting, but actually the Light Pollution from Los Angeles county. I hope you guys enjoy the photograph.
