Here I am, sitting outside my room at Gap Ridge Village, Karratha enjoying a beautiful Western Australian sunset. The work camp is home to (at times) around 2000 fly-in/fly-out (or FIFO) workers associated with the mining and oil & gas industry in Karratha.

The common roster is 2 weeks on 2 weeks off but some work longer. Sunsets like this one, after a long 12 hour work day can put a smile on your face, but nothing quite does it like flying home.

This is probably one of my ore popular photographs which I have not uploaded before on this account. It was taken inside an old abandoned Baryte mine in Co Sligo in the West of Ireland.

We visit this location every year as the location of the site is in one of the most picturesque parts of Ireland. I will be going here this weekend with my new kit to photograph some of the surrounding area, so keep an eye on them shots.

The person in this image is my friend Dean O’Riordan who also has a 500px account so try find him his work is great.

Shot in the road from Lake Wanaka to Arrowtown. Arrowtown, from now on Arriquitawn, is probably one of the most beautiful and charismatic villages in New Zealand.

Historically, this is a gold mining region. If you happen to be here and try to dig to find some yellowish minerals the only gold you will get is this view. Fair enough.

This old copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona sits on the top of Cleopatra Hill overlooking the Verde Valley. It has a very colorful history and was first mined by Prehistoric Native Americans. At one time it had a peak population of 15,000.
