“The Roses of Pemaquid Point”
This is easily one of my favorite photos from my 3 week trip to Maine. These roses, Rosa Rugosa- also called Beach or Dune Roses, were everywhere along the coast. To say I was excited about this composition would be a huge understatement, and while I was taking the foreground exposures the moon started to rise over the horizon to my left, providing some beautiful light.
Such an amazing lighthouse and the geology on Pemaquid Point was some of the most interesting I have ever seen. Some of you may recognize this lighthouse- it was featured on the Maine state quarter
