Here is another image from Watson Lake that I photographed a few days ago. At this point, the storm had moved too far to the north to provide much of a spectacular cloud display, but it did create these wonderful rays that emanated from the cloud structure as the moon rose.

Lupinus polyphyllus are one of the most spectacular flowers that we may encounter in summertime all over the Alps. I have portrayed them in Engadine (Switzerland), on the shore of the Lake of Sils (St.Moritz). It was during a sudden change of weather, i decided to use a long exposure with a ND1000 filter, so there is in the shot a spimilar HDR effect.

Some mornings we battle the wild conditions and after a lot of effort we return with our tail between our legs after a shoot with little or no results.

This morning in Port Fairy I had everything fall into place for me in regards to weather. The sky had so much colour that it has taken a bit of work with bracketed exposures to have detail in certain parts of the sky but I managed to get there in the end.
