To reach the top of Mt. Hiei and have access to the Enryakuji temple complex you have to take two unusual transports: a cablecar and a ropeway. This because the mountain is very steep and its vegetation is incredibly dense. The railway of the cablecar is cut out of a luxuriant forest. The rays of light filter through the trees and create bright green spots: this view made me think of a tunnel that leads to an hidden realm of nature.
