After driving through a serious hail storm I thought for sure I was gonna get skunked this night. After all most turning around I was like what the heck your already out here, lets just see what happens. I hiked up to this spot in pouring rain cursing myself for being an idiot when all of a sudden the skies opened up and produced this beautiful rainbow. Panic mode set in and luckily I was able to capture this shot. Lesson learned you never know what can happen with weather. I have many more photos coming from the last couple months, I can’t wait to share! Take care everyone have a great day and thank you for all your kind words and comments.

My today’s image was the product of a fantastic coincidence. In an exit on a rainy day, a couple months ago, with my friend J. Orfão, suddenly we realized that was a glorious rainbow over us. We stopped the car as we could, in the road, and tried our luck. There was no time to use tripods or filters, just used the rule of third for the composition and struggled with those colors that were fading away very quickly…
I felt blessed for be there at that precise moment. And the best of it was that in my angle the rainbow was directly to the only tree in that field!
The other difficult part was the editing. The sky had very strong and dark clouds and the light was dull. I used LR5 to enhance the levels and try to give a little more overall punch to the scene.
As always I thank all of you who support me every week and gave me hope. Like Dostoevsky wrote, “To live without hope is to cease to live.”

A cloud just peeking above the hills of St.Martin, Caribbean. Being French territory, it was only more incredible that the cloud vaguely ressembles the top part of the map of France. A simply astonishing moment.
