“Beauty of Nature” – Mount Rainier/Washington (4.392m) – USA

Something to cool your mind. At least for the Germans as temperatures are reaching 30+ °C. I took this photo on a frozen Lake in front of the beautiful snow covered Mount Rainier.
With an altitude of about 4.400m, the volcanoe Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in the Cascade Mountains.

It’s been a long time since I posted an image of a mountain (that will be changing soon) so hopefully this will tide some folks over until the summer melt picks up speed this was taken this past October as the winter Milky Way rose over Mt. Rainier seen from Tipsoo Lake on Chinook Pass. I posted a shot from here last year, but it was pretty noisy, I’ve treated this one with a few tricks I’ve picked up over the past year to produce a cleaner image. Any who hope you enjoy it!

Couldn’t have hoped for better conditions….still remains my favorite shot with such a striking strong red/orange cloud streak reflected at Tipsoo lake at sunset. Was really a special moment that lasted for one or 2 minutes.
