New on 500px : The Calm After The Storm by DaniloFaria by DaniloFaria

After an incredible World Cup in brazil, I am back! My beloved Brasil did not win, but I am here congratulating Germany for a great run!
Horseshoe Bend a few minutes after sunset. I struggled to try different compositions here, because the center classic image has been seen so many times… lucky I was to have the golden sun come through the clouds. Thanks for your feedback and visits!

New on 500px : Ancient Sandstone Canyons by MarkMetternich by MarkMetternich

An original take on an ancient canyon that makes up part of the very origin of the 277 mile long, over a mile deep, Grand Canyon. With 4 workshops coming up in the area, I am getting very excited about the awesome privilege of guiding my clients to some original SW locations either rarely or never photographed.

Processing techniques are explained in my various Photoshop Video Tutorials. Feel free to Facebook me or visit WildForLight.com

Thank you for looking. 🙂

New on 500px : Spectrum by whuang by whuang

Ranking among my top subjects to photograph, slot canyons possess an unrivaled artistic beauty. This photo is one of favorite southwest scenes of all time. When captured at the right time, these pillared Navajo sandstone walls catch the reflected light and begin to display and ethereal glow. Sporting striations, this slot somewhat resembles Zebra slots but this has its own unique aspects of a lengthy hallway appearance lined with pillared walls. It was definitely some of the best adventure and the most fun I have enjoyed exploring one of mother nature’s finest creations.

New on 500px : Temple of the Moon by JustinGrimm by JustinGrimm

Here is the first of many images I captured at the alien landscape of Arizona’s White Pocket. I owe this image to my buddy Brian Kibbons for two reasons. First, because he drove like a total possesed beast in his small SUV to get us here. And second, because I saw him checking this crack out before I even noticed it. Yup, comp stomped the shit out of him. Lukily I don’t think he ever seriously shot this crack, so I don’t feel that bad.

One thing I can take credit for is having pre-determined where the moon would be, and at what time, using some phone apps. Such talent, much wow!

Thanks for checking it out!

New on 500px : Racing Against Time by DaniloFaria by DaniloFaria

Swirls and lines naturally formed naturally over millions of years. Those rock formations sit near the same park in which “The Wave” is located.
Thank you all for your support and feedback!

New on 500px : If Tomorrow Never Comes by DaniloFaria by DaniloFaria

I was very privileged to be granted permits to see the Wave a few months ago… it did not disappoint, it is the most beautiful rock I’ve ever seen… As always, thanks for your continuous support and visits!

New on 500px : Dar La Luz by MichaelBandy by MichaelBandy

I took this photo in the Lower Antelope slot Canyon outside of Page, Az. Such an awesome place. This particular comp seems to remind everyone of a certain part of female anatomy so I went with that theme a bit in the title. Hope you guys like this shot in all it’s suggestiveness.
