Das geniale bei einer RAW-Datei ist, dass viel mehr Bildinformation abgespeichert wird, als bei einem JPG und dadurch feine Tonwerte (hell wie dunkel) besser ausgearbeitet werden können. Das gemeine bei RAWs ist aber, das bei der Erstbetrachtung am Monitor nicht die eigentliche Lichtsituation wiedergeben wird, RAW- Dateien sehen deshalb immer etwas flauer (grauer) und unspektakulär aus, den es findet kein kamerainterner “Verschönerungs-Prozess” statt, anders ist das bei JPGs.
