The Pura Luhur Batukau (Temple of Luhur Batukau).
It’s located on the slopes of the volcano Gunung Batukau and it’ is surrounded by green forest.
This is definitely one of the most mystical temples of Bali.
It has a “meru” (Hindu shrine) with seven roofs dedicated to Maha Dewa, the goddess of the mountain, and it has altars dedicated to the lakes Bratan, Buyan and Tamblingan.
Visiting this temple is a pleasure because it is rarely visited by tourists.
The only sounds you can hear are the songs of birds and the litany of priests.

Pura (“Temple” in Bahasa Indonesia) Ulun Danu Bratan, is a major Shivaite temple on Bali, Indonesia.
It is also featured in Indonesian banknote.
The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul.
Lake Bratan is known as the Lake of Holy Mountain due to the fertility of this area. It’s Located 1200mt above sea level.
Built in 1663, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali.
