New on 500px : Vik Church by Kyraly by Kyraly

Came to Iceland to shoot with Iurie Belegurschi. First day was overcast and dull.

This shot was a challenge as it was constantly windy, making the lupines move.

New on 500px : Blue Hour by BrettNickeson by BrettNickeson

Back from Iceland! We had a fantastic time in the land of never ending summer light and came away with some great images. The conditions were often tough though, as the clouds only cooperated on a couple nights and we usually found ourselves socked in stratus, fog, or rain. Regardless, Iceland is an incredible country and a landscape photographer’s dream.

This image is a bit odd for me as many know that I typically don’t include man-made objects in my photos. But this scene of the church in Vik surrounded by an amazing lupine field was too good to pass up. Taken sometime around 2 a.m., we lucked out with zero wind and perfect conditions to shoot the wildflowers.

New on 500px : In the middle of nowhere by Carlosmacr by Carlosmacr

One of the most exciting experiences in Iceland was searching and finding that crashed airplane (1973 – nobody died in the accident). It sounds a little bit strange to me to say that, as there were so many great experiences in that amazing country.

It’s not only the crashed airplane itself but the place where it is, with nothing but volcanic sand around. Another thing it made it more interesting is that we thought being in the wrong way as it saw not visible until you are really close to it.
