“Kingdom of a Mountain” – Mt. Hood (3.429m) – Oregon/USA

One of my main goals on my tour has been the cascade mountains. The old volcanic cones decorate the landscape like pearls and exude an indescribable Aurora. In the nearly four miles ascent up to this view towards Mount Hood I went past Mirror Lake, which you can see in the middle. As so often, I had to descent in the dark, which always cause a very queasy stomach. Nevertheless I´m quite happy how it turned out. The fog in my back would have can also make a spanner in the works.

Here you can see a quite old picture I took in december of 2012 along the way in the Saxon Switzerland. This evening was really foggy, so my picture gets a mysterious mood. Additional there comes a car in my frame, so the „golden thread“ accrued by backlights.

Hier seht ihr ein sehr altes Bild, das mir trotzdem noch überdurchschnittlich gut von allen meinen Bildern gefällt. Entstanden ist es an einem Dezemberabend auf dem Weg durch die Sächsische Schweiz. An diesem Abend war sehr viel Nebel, wodurch dem Bild eine besonders mystische Stimmung verliehen wird 😉 . Dazu kam ein Auto, das während der Belichtungszeit durch den Bildrahmen fuhr. Durch die Hinterlichter des Autos entsteht der „goldene Faden“, der sich durch das gesamte Bild zieht 😉 Einen sanfter Schimmer entstand auf der Landschaft durch die Beleuchtung der Vorderleuchten, die jedoch nicht direkt in die Kamera funkelten 😉
