There is something great about shooting for starbursts directly into the sun. One part is to hope you have a clean sensor and lens as every bit of dust and gunk will make itself known to you very fast

There is a real element of beauty in the Yosemite National Park at any time of the day. That said there is something extra special in the early hours of the morning. The light is constantly changing with the mood, and even when there are minimal clouds, the ambience and atmosphere speaks for itself.

New on 500px : Yosemite Valley in the Winter by rsusanto by rsusanto

Another photograph from my last trip to the Yosemite park in December last year. In the winter, the Merced river is calm and the water level is pretty low. It’s a good time to include all the small rocks as foreground elements. I was actually hoping for a more dramatic photo with some low hanging clouds but I didn’t get it. As a photographer, I’ll just take what mother nature provides me.
